I want to preference this by saying that the “Off The Rack” articles are simply off the cuff, editorials from yours truly. They are not going to be grammatically correct and are certainly not meant to printed anywhere. It’s just me telling you what has been happening at the Den and in my life and sometimes the world, really just my opinions, my voice. They may be controversial, comical and hopefully just fun to read. They will most likely be posted at the end of every month or whenever I feel like it. So enjoy and do not take anything said here too seriously. I want to wish you all a Happy New Year. I know this may seem a bit late but things have been very busy for your Fairy God Mistress.

The year started out with a pilgrimage to Las Vegas for the Erotic Expo formerly known as the Adult Video News Convention held at the Venetian Convention center. This was the 25th anniversary of the convention. Many things have changed and many things have stayed the same. I was not there in any official capacity, meaning I was not there signing autographs. I went because it had been about 4 years since I had been there in an official capacity and I really wanted to see what was new and connect with old, dear friends.

I was the guest of DDI Magazine, Domination Directory International, The Domina Files and David Jackson, Editor, Producer. When I first walked onto the convention floor, it looked like a swap meet/flea market. There were people selling bed sheets, handbags, rhinestone jewelry, bongs and even people selling teeth whitening. This may seem reasonable on some level however, in my day everyone on the convention floor was either a film or video company, adult toy company or in the very least showing a product that was directly related to porn. I guess it is true that change it inevitable. I did see some cool stuff like the “life like” dolls. They were simply incredible, completely life like almost eerily life like with super fashionable clothes and if you just wanted body parts like feet for the foot freaks, you could buy just a pair of feet.

The other amazing spectacle was Matt Zane’s body suspension, which broke the World Record of 6 hours. Matt Zane hung suspended from 4 hooks in his upper back, place horizontally for over 6 hours, and while in the Zane Productions booth on the convention floor. That is Amazing. It always amazes me to see what the human body and human flesh is capable of. It was nice to see some of the old, much loved stars like Nina Hartley, Randy West, John Leslie, Tom Byron and Amber Lynn. Many of the old tried and true companies were still there Hustler, Evil Angel, Adam & Eve with many new companies like Jules Jordan, Irene Boss DVD and Tera Patrick, TeraVision. Overall, it was great to connect with what once was, give hugs to old friends and hug a few new ones. I got to meet 4X Boxing Champion Vernon Forrest and get a photograph/autograph. I am an avid boxing fan from way back, since I was a little girl. My father was a Marine Corp Golden Gloves boxer and some of the best memories are of staying up late watching boxing with my dad. I have gone to a lot of boxing matches many at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. I have autographs from some of my favorites, Marvin Hagler, Tommy Hearns, Oscar DeLa Hoya, and others. I wanted to go to the Mayweather/Hatton fight but the tickets prices were outrageous. I watched the fight on payperview in the privacy of my own home, the best seats in the house and cheapest drinks. The fight turned out to be a great one.

The finest part of Vegas was hanging out with my pervert/b/d/s/m friends, David Jackson, Fucking Jerry Koehler, Tim Woodward, Jewel Marceu and others. We had dinner together and made sure that we all drank enough wine to stop our feet from aching. I have enclosed some photos from the convention, I hope you enjoy them.
I ended the month of January by shooting the first American version of the Domina Files. The Domina Files is a DVD shot by DDI. They go to a dungeon, film the different rooms, and interview the Head Mistress while including some footage of different types of play. I managed to get a hot, sexy slave boy to play with for the film, which was great fun for me. DDI has shot every major dungeon in Western Europe and now they are coming to America to chronicle the dungeons here. I will let you know when the DVD is released hopefully you will all want one.

The Den of Indomitus has experienced some changes in staff. We are proud to welcome Mistress V back with us. Mistress V is available one day a week, Thursday from 11am-11pm.
